Group U-Kiss recently ranked fifth on the Japanese Oricon chart.
The group’s third Japanese EP Dear My Friend was released on July 25 and ranked fifth on the Oricon chart on the first day of its release.
Since Japanese national groups EXILE and AAA also released their new EPs on the same day, the result is a lot more meaningful to U-Kiss.
Their new EP includes the title song “Dear My Friend,” “Beautiful,” and the live version of “Believe.” A music video for the title song features members living their everyday lives and it drew a lot of attention even before it was released.
Their agency says, “U-Kiss is working with Avex, one of the best Japanese agencies, following a star marketing plan. They have made TVXQ and BoA successful in Japan and U-Kiss is also selected as the most promising artist in Japan as a Hallyu star.”
U-Kiss will hold their last concert of their Japanese tour in Tokyo. They will hold their exclusive concert on September 5 at Budokan and return to performing in Korea in mid-September.
